As a Service Manager you will use your excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to engage your diesel technicians, maintain good morale among your team, and keep your customers happy. Regular duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing of vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to tractors, trucks, and trailers. Strong communication and computer skills required. You will be involved in the hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle maintenance technicians to ensure that our highly skilled workforce is able to meet customer expectations. Key duties include, but are not limited to: • Responsible for shop's sales results, profitability, customer experience, and team morale • Effectively manage all employees, including hiring, training, coaching, and celebrating awesomeness • Innovate, problem solve and use good judgment to surpass store and team goals • Actively participate in business analysis and make course corrections as needed • Minimum Qualifications: • Experience in Heavy-Duty Semi Truck Repair at least 3 years. • Have client/customer service management experience that includes team leadership for team of 5 or more. • Have great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude. • Great knowledge for preventive/regular service repair in the semi-trucks and trailers. • Basic knowledge for Specific engine computer trouble-shooting program (CAT, Cummins, Detroit) • Commercial Driver's License for road testing units after repairs if needed. • DOT Certification preferred. • Forklift certification preferred but not necessary at time of hire. Requirements Skills Needed: • 5+ years diesel mechanic experience with experience overseeing technicians. • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in MS Excel • Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Demonstrates the ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. • Strong customer service skills Nice to Have: • Strong math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. • High School Diploma or equivalent • Associates or Tech School degree preferred. • Valid Driver’s License required, CDL preferred.
